Administration Privilege
Users with administration privilege can perform any action in any project in addition to performing all administrative activities.
Inviting Users
To add users, you first have to invite them. To invite users go to Main Menu ▸ Administration ▸ Users and click on the button.
You can enter multiple email addresses at a time. You can enter their default role and also add them to certain projects.
Once you submit, an email with your invitation will be sent to all the email addresses.
Resending Invites
If the user can't locate your invite email, you can resend the invite.
To resend, go to Main Menu ▸ Administration ▸ Users and click on the edit icon for the invited user and choose the and submit. The user should now receive an email.
Disabling Users
A disabled user cannot login. To disable a user, go to Main Menu ▸ Administration ▸ Users and click on the edit icon for that user. Choose in the status field and save.
Activating Users
To activate a user, go to Main Menu ▸ Administration ▸ Users and click on the edit icon for that user. Choose or in the status field and save.
Deleting Users
Deleting a user will permanently delete that user from the system.
To delete a user, go to Main Menu ▸ Administration ▸ Users and click on the delete icon for that user. Choose a replacement user and submit.
The use of a replacement user can best be understood with an example:
If Roger was selected as the replacement user for Joe, then Roger will be assigned:
- Incomplete test runs assigned to Joe. Incomplete means % done of the test run is not 100%.
- Incomplete test cases assigned to Joe for testing (max 100, remaining will be left unassigned). Incomplete means that the result status of that test case in that test run is not a final status.
If Roger did not belong to the projects that contained these test runs, then Roger will also inherit the same role from Joe in those projects.
