Test Plans

A Test Plan helps you group and manage multiple Test Runs in one place. It allows teams to organize testing activities, track progress, and ensure that all required test runs are executed.

Instead of selecting test cases directly, a Test Plan acts as a container for multiple Test Runs, making it easier to manage execution cycles.

Create a Test Plan

The Create Test Plan form allows users to define a new test plan and associate relevant test runs.

Navigate to: Project → Test Runs → Create Test Plan

Fields in the Create Test Plan Form

1. Name

The Name is the primary identifier for the test plan. Use a clear and descriptive title based on sprint, release, or testing scope.

  • Sprint 12 Test Plan
  • Regression Cycle – Release 1.0
2. Description

The Description provides additional context about the test plan.

  • Testing objectives
  • Scope of validation
  • Sprint or release details
  • Notes for the team
3. Test Runs

This section allows you to select and associate Test Runs with the test plan.

  • Select up to 50 test runs
  • Search and filter test runs
  • Option to show only ungrouped test runs
  • Displays key details like name and number of test cases

Click Save to create the test plan.
